Dresses. LOVE THEM.

I am a big fan of dresses. Dressed up ones or dressed down ones. I just love them. Here are a few I am coveting at the moment.

Deus ex Machina and Our Great Escape

A very good friend of mine is joining 11 other people on 'Our Great Escape'.  He will support crew to a bunch of guys travelling on custom built bikes, in excess of 6500kms across Australia ending up in Broome.

Aside from having the trip of a life time, the crew and supporters are also raising money for Cure Kids. Today they had an event to show off the bikes and to sell tickets for two raffles the first  is a $50 ticket and the prize is a Grievous Angel Custom Bike (The Husband is crossing his fingers that he wins that one) and the second a $20 ticket and the prize is an SR400 Motorcycle and second prize in that draw is a $1000 Deus ex Machina voucher. Draw is made 22 April 8pm at Deus ex Machina, Shed 5.

Tickets available at Deus ex Machina during opening hours. PS the coffee is also really good there!

Support the lads, it is all in the name of living life and supporting those who need it - in this case Cure Kids.

Check out some of the images I took today (taken on my phone as I forgot my camera so sorry for the quality)

The lads leave NZ 1st May with the journey beginning a couple of days after that.

Very cool and we wish you all the best with the fundraising and the adventure.

Can't wait to hear all about it.

E-Reads - some of my favourites

One of the things I love about the internet is the inspiration you find in all sorts of places.

I have recently begun reading a couple of E-Magazines that are worth a look (and they are free) ..... if you have time to spare (they are full of such goodness you won't be able to stop until you have read right to the end).

The first one is the newest one. NonPareil Magazine. This magazine is the brain child of two great bloggers. Paper Crave (Kristen Magee) and The Inspired Bride (Maddy Hauge). All of the content is submitted by creatives from around the world and  there are lots of DIY tips, downloadables and good old fashioned inspiration. Worth a look.
Check out a couple of sample pages below (all from issue two).

The second E-Read must is Utterly Engaged. This magazine purpose is to "inspire budget savvy brides with style". They are up to their 8th issue and each one is inspirational. check out some of the sample pages below.

Issue 2

Issue 4

So these are just a couple - YOU must read some on line zines?

Tell us about your favourite - leave the link and we can all enjoy!

Have a great weekend

Emma Walsh Design

Have you come across Emma Walsh Design when browsing through Felt?

Emma is, an Architecture Graduate, Designer, Artist and Stylist, Auckland bred but currently living in the beautiful surrounds of the Bay of Plenty.

Have a look through her offerings. You will be inspired by the beauty she creates. Jewelry, photography and more. Amazing.

If you are anything like me you will have a hard time deciding which piece you want first! Rumour has it that Emma will be at the next Devonport Craft Market which is probably the most dangerous thing for me.

In the meantime check out her blog here and her Felt store here.

I am leaving you with a number of my favourites......
