More inspiration....

I found this lovely set of wedding photos at Style Me Pretty last week. They were taken by Tec Petaja and I have to say are some of the best Wedding photos and Wedding styling that I have seen. I have been thinking about them all weekend and they have really inspired me. My visual diary is filling up fast. See below:

I love the eclectic table setting but I especially love the idea of the photos nailed to the tree portrait style. Such a great idea. And the fabric covered hay bails... so lovely. It looks like such a romantic, simple, fun yet very elegant (in its own style) wedding. I just love it.

Devonport Craft Markets

Check out the new and wonderful poster for the Devonport Craft Markets. I LOVE the bird theme... wonder why! See you there.

Loads of Loveliness

I was having a browse just now and took some time to read from my favourite blog Creature Comforts and I came across the work of Sweet William (Paula and Jeanine Mills) profiled. I have been coveting their work from their Felt Shop of late. They are a sister duo based in Melbourne and NZ. Their work is just lovely Check it out here at felt and here at etsy

Also profiled was the work of Philip Newton. Check out these photos. This is the kind of glamour and old world that really gets me motivated. The shoes... what more do I need to say.....

In the name of getting organised

Loving the new workspace! I have finally gotten around to packaging up a bunch of earrings to send off to Muff Clothing in Melbourne. If you are ever in Mel, apart from drinking all of the amazing coffee you can, and eating at Cookie, Borscht, Vodka and Tears, make sure you pay a visit to Muff at their Degraves subway store (Flinders Station) or at QVM (Queen Victoria Markets). Michelle or Alan would love to have a yarn with some Kiwi's and both have a wonderful style so will point you in the direction of some stylish bargains. They also introduced me to the Rose St Artists Markets in Rose St, just off Brunswick St in Fitzroy. Another MUST if you are in Mel.

I have also been busy getting back into paper. I make some paper and card bookmarks this week which I will load on felt and have available at the markets. Simple but functional and pretty!

Also my Eco Chic Weddings book arrived. Loaded with lots of great ideas and websites to visit for more ideas. Yay.

Busy Bee

The child and I have been VERY busy today. We have loaded all of the winter onsies and tshirts and also cards onto FELT. What an effort but now it is done.
Please excuse the photography - not my best creative effort but with the help of my lovely friend loonie I will have new photos soon.

I did a lot of research last night into Wedding bits and pieces. Anyone who knows me knows that I love Weddings.. Not for the mushy romantic 'I do' bits but more for the details and the planning and the look and feel of the wedding. I have always wanted to be a wedding planner (J-Lo eat your heart out) but I think now I would like to be a wedding 'inspirator' (think terminator but nicer!). I have loads of ideas and a few I am ready to create and see if there is a market for them.

I just purchased eco-chic weddings off Amazon and I am sitting by the letterbox waiting for it to arrive... yippee.

Check out some of the cards I loaded up on Felt today. There are many more to come....

New workspace - YAY

The husband cleared out a space for me and now I have my very own craftspace instead of all over the house. Much nicer for everyone!
Instead of loading stuff on felt I got stuck in, with the help of the child and a little loud singing and stupid dancing (all in the aim of keeping the child interested of course) we got there. Now I just have to purchase some cork board to stick up on  the wall and I will be able to post bits of inspiration etc to look at when I need some help! So exciting.

The end of a long but fun weekend!

My first two markets are now over and they were relatively successful. Beautiful weather in Devonport today meant there were lots of people around.
Sarah did a wonderful job at promoting the market for us all and I think it will get better and better.
The husband and child (:-)) didn't make it down today to take photos but the lovely RW Scissors took some to put on her blog so I will grab some when they are up.
It was great being out and about people who MIY rather than being holed up on my own in my 'craftspace'. There are some wonderful things being made out there and it was great to be amongst it.
Now I have the mammoth task of loaded the rest of my wares up to my felt site. I spent the last month making up stock for the markets and not placing a lot of new stuff online. That changes tomorrow.
The child and I will spend the day sorting and photographing and loading - hope he likes it!
I will also spend part of the day catching up on all of my favourite sites and blogs as it has been a while since i have had the chance to really have a good look around!
Anyway cheers to a successful weekend.

Three Lamps Club Market - One down - one to go

Good day for first market! A little slow but it was very COLD outside so I am not sure how many people ventured out!
I will post some photos tomorrow after the Devonport Market.

I will also be loading a whole lot of baby t-shirts and onsies on my Felt site over the next couple of days. Remember 80% of what I make can be customised so please contact me if there is anything that you want!
